About Me
Welcome to Kinder Cottage! My name is Wilhelmina Laughlin, a former elementary music teacher who is passionate about bringing quality care to young children, while raising two littles of my own. Here at Kinder Cottage we provide an environment for young minds to develop through outdoor exploration, imaginative play, music making, and handwork. Our routine is structured and deliberate, but offers an opportunity for each child to apply their own unique creativity and imagination throughout the day. Lessons at Kinder Cottage are based on the presupposition that young children learn primarily through imitation and play, and encourage everyone to engage in self-directed participation through outdoor play, sensory and physical play, music making, and artistic activities.
